Tinctures vs Powders
Just think how much it would cost to have three advertizing spots at the bottom of the curezone....................and just think, "IF" you buy only 200 bottles of the name brand dewormer 16oz bottles you can get them at the whopping wholesale price of $90.00 per bottle....... Quite the savings over their normal $130 sale price.
Just think why they would pay so much to make a spot for Olive Leaf Tincture. Years ago I learned to use Olive Leaf Tincture in formulas, but soon learned to use the powder and NOT the tincture when taking ONLY Olive Leaf as a supplement/treatment.
Just think what it cost to make a spot just for Red Raspberry Tincture and again, when taking as a supplement, it only makes sense to make your own tea or take as a syrup, again same as with Olive Leaf Tincture, you can't consume enough of these 2 herbs to get a benefit if your taking them as a tincture, because you consume more alcohol than herb and it just doesn't work out. That is why I do not push raspberry or olive leaf tinctures at all, but the cheaper powder form of both. I always have a problem selling something I don't personally believe in using, so when people ask about these 2 products, i do have them as tinctures and syrup/tinctures because I use thm in other formulas, but always suggest people save $$$ buy buying the herbs by the pound not only because it is cheaper, but superior for those 2 particualr herbs. Actually, I am not a fan of very many tinctures because of their higher alcohol content stops you from using enough.
I guess we can't expect "commercial" places to have experience other than based on SALES! It is EASY to read how good an herb is and copy/paste this and supply a product made from that herb and attempt to sale it, but that is as far as it goes and when the sales fall off, the commercail places add another product and another, etc.., etc......
An herbalist on the other hand will listen to the customers and seek to make the formula that works best and phase out the stuff that just didn't work well.
Word of mouth is all the herbalist made products need, they don't usually spend their $$$ on slick adds or pay employees that can't answer the customers questions properly. Taking herbs today is no minor thing! They are too expensive to wonder where they originated from and how they were made. Dr. Christopher and Dr. Shulze warned almost 40 years ago to NOT BUY herbs from commercial sources, but to make your OWN! I took both their advice and basically got my start from making extra for others who asked me to.
