Detoxing the Bad Halogens

Alot of people fumble around with commercial Iodines because of this:

What is really so interesting is that the Iodine will tend to get rid of the fluoride and the bromide and some of the heavy metals.

I find it even more interesting that people are using chemical iodines in an effort to remove chemicals and if they do get results, then surely the real deal should get better results with no toxicity.
