Hi,
It is my first time posting here. I've had a mirena IUD for about 3 years. After years of heavy, painful periods and wild mood swings prior to having it inserted, it has been nice to have a more calm life (and no tampons to buy!). HOWEVER, I've noticed a steady Depression creeping into my life, and I have completely lost the desire to have sex. Completely. Also, my hair has thinned and I've gained weight. In four days time I'll have the bugger removed.

It has been supportive to me to read all of these postings. I'll let you know if my symptoms improve in a week or so.
