Hi, I have just returned from having this damn coil removed from my body. My doctor said she had not heard of these side effects in any of her other patients who had the coil. I almost felt like I was being made to feel guilty at having it removed so soon. Felt like screaming at her "you try living with the effects". I have never felt so bloated, anxious, unhappy in all my life. My breasts had gone from a C cup to a DD cup. When I told my sister she joked that she would like it for this reason...I warned her it is not worth it for this alone.
I have now been prescribed the Cerazette contraceptive pill but have just looked at listed side effects and they are weight gain, loss of sex drive, anxiety, depression, spots...the list goes on. Therefore I do not wish to take this pill. Does anybody have an experience of or know of a pill that does not cause so many side effects. I cannot afford to continue to feel so low and tired. I have three children to take care of and always had so much energy before the Mirena.
Also my sex drive disappeared almost overnight with the Mirena. I want it back and so does my husband!!
Am desperate to find a solution to my problems but not sure whether one exists other than condoms which hubby refuses to wear.
