Re: Mirena IUD Side Effects

Thanks for that ..... I'M NOT GOING MAD, YIPPPEEEE !!

I will most certainly be having it taken out. I myself have been to the doctors and he said the same, there aren't many side effects. I think in actual fact its a case of its so new we don't know what the side effects are, but they are not owning up to it. I had slight postnatal Depression when I had my daughter which gave me some anxiety attacks but that was because of hormone levels etc. going back to normal. I said to the doctor that I didn't think it was unreasonable to think that the coil was making me like this again because of the hormones in the coil. The doctors sometimes make you feel stupid though and you don't like to make out you know more than them, but at the end of the day women know their own bodies. I bet there are loads of women with the coil that are being treated for anxiety and depression.

Will keep you posted, I'm going to make the appointment now ! I am so pleased that someone else has had the same effects ! What a relief.
