Re: Mirena - will depression pass?

I had the device removed this afternoon.

1. Removal is a snap compared to insertion. Just give a really long, deep cough, they pull and its out. And I was really terrified because of the painful insertion that I, a woman who has never given birth, experienced.

2. I still have a bit of spotting, but the cramping is gone - as is the out of control appetite ( well, I think so, anyway)

I just hope that this sadness leaves very soon....It occurs to me that such sadness itself does nothing for sex drive.

It was a nice idea, the mirena....now I am back to where I was 9 months ago - terrible periods and erratic hormonal states. Oh well.....

I think I made the right decision.
