I was away a couple of days so could not respond earlier.
>>during your 4 month remission,
>>1) how long have you been sticking to the diet, then start to eat something else?
Actually not that long if I remember well, say 3 or 4 weeks but I also tried 2 times
before with little success, probably due to many factors, like wrong diet, not taking enough time etc etc.
The third time I dedicated 4 weeks of vacation to the procedure but started first with a strict diet, taking out foods untill stool form became less liquid but not really solid only after I saw a difference I started the Vitamin E procedure and than really suddenly after a week or so I had rock solid stool and did feel like the time I was a teenager. Did not feel any gas, pain nothing.
I continued for 2 more weeks with the enema's as I had to go for a long travel.
In the 4 months after the Procedure I did not notice any thing and I was eating everything I liked, no problem at all.
Than at a certain moment I felt the famous rumble and gas coming back a little, I did not take action at that time but I guess within a week I was back in my same old disease.
I struggled thru a year with some diet, so I managed it a bit.
Then I did the HPI procedure, maybe you have heard about it, that went OK and I had another 1,5 very good year while eating almost anything I liked but still being careful about it.
Situation got worse after that but never as ever before with lots of blood etc etc.
I dont use any medicines no more, that worsen the condition.
Remember in 1995 I had a severe UC condition with 25 runs to the toilet.
And now I am trying again the Vitamin E procedure again but it is still jumpy ;-(
>>2) What's majorly in your change diet?
I changed everything, I follow it very strict now and I can not eat everything that Sheldon decribed, so mainly I eat 1 potato, brown rice, bit of coliflower, bit of broccoli, carrots and fresh salmon slowly cooked in Olive oil and I use coconutmilk with water to boil it. That is about it untill I reach a rock solid formed stool, if not I take away more untill it happens I hope.
I used this diet before when I had succes the third time.
I take enema's before I sleep.
>>3) How long have you been using the Ve enema every night?
If you mean these days yes every night and before also every night. But I started it just 2 days ago.
>>4) Have you noticed anything before the flare?
Yes, read at number 1 so there is a signal and I should have reacted to it but the weird thing was that I felt it changing but my stool was still formed for a long time after the symptoms started.
If you want to know more, feel free to ask ;-)
How are you doing these days?
Maybe, if you have time, describe a bit what you did to reach to where you are right now?
