I'm glad to hear you are improving aaron. I am actually using what your doctor recommended. 40 mg of Prednisone a day, as well as 3 asacol tablets 3 times a day, which I think is a bit rough, I have only been doing asacol about twice a day, I just really feel it hasn't been helping me much. Anyway, I know what you mean about doctors on a personal level, I was in contact with mine today and the receptionist gave me an attitude because I was off of the prednsione for about a month, until I told her I was tapered off of it and symptoms gradually came back. then she was silent. It is people like that in the medical profession that make me think twice about it, and they have absolutely no idea about nutrition.

Oh and for Sheldon, I actually remember telling my G.I. about your method and he didn't gave me a straight answer as to wether he wanted me to try it or not, he said "I don't know about putting vitamin E up there, I recommend this, etc.". He basically told me that if I wanted to try natural treatments that is fine which I respect but he said he recommended me to do prednisone, etc.

Personally I would rather take the advice of someone who has been through the pain and misery of this disease and overcome it as you have rather than take textbook advice from someone who says "I can eat whatever I want with this disease" absolutely ridiculous. Anyway that is me venting, I am done now hah.

Sheldon, not that I would go back to eating burgers and fries all day which is absolutely out of the question, though you say that you can eat anything without a bad effect? Dairy, breads, pasta? Just trying to get all the info I can.
