Hello Kyel,
Always remember the colon heals slowly and any wrong changes before a complete healing can cause problems. That said, you are the resulting source of the condition and the only one that can make a final judgment on any change.I can only give an educated guess from mine and other experiences to what is best.
From my thought, the colon is very sensitive and I would settle for steady improvement,a proven procedure and a normal life while healing.Your weight gain and gas will continue to be a problem until your colon heals sufficiently and you get the proper bacterial environment.Don't go hungry the right food will not harm. They say it is best to wait a 3 hours after eating before bed.I would think only 10 drops of vitamin E without water would not distribute properly. However, you can try and observe the result.
If laying down 5 minutes on each side is a problem after taking the enema, don't do it.Are you lubricating the syringe tip? It would be helpful to know the number of bowel movements each day.Let comfort be your guide.sheldon
