Hello everyone, I just wanted to share ther recepie of making barley soup since it is necessary to have barley and vegetables in the diet and I think this is a tasty way of having it!
add 2.5 cups of water to 2 cups of pearl barley and let it sit over the night (or for 4-5 hrs)
then pour this in the mixer (barley and water), add a medium onion and 3 carrots to the mixer and let them be mixed and ground
cook some chicken and use the stok (u could leave the chicken breast meat in if you like),
then add the shredded mixed vegetables and barley above to the chicken stok, add a few cups of water, and some salt and let it boil and cook for about 1.5- 2 hr on med-low heat.
add one cup of soy milk
let it boil for another 15 min.
you have a delicious thick soup and your required barley for the day! enjoy and let me know if you have any suggestions and/or recepies to make this diet more fun
