My Asthma symptoms drastically improved the first week, I started noting some improvement in joint pain in the first week but it continued to improve through the following weeks (total 23 days). Hi Trish! I am doing fasts for joint issues too. I have a new fast coming up soon. How long did you fast, when the pains resolved? What would be your subjective estimate for benefit? For example the last short fast I did (5 days) brought joint condition from about 5 on a scale of 10 (10 being the worst possible damage from trauma or overuse) to about 2, maybe one. Hello, you obviously have good intentions. Although advocating for Master cleanse vs WF as ”all nutrient-inclusive” vs ”starvation” is an ill-advise. I suggest you read more about fasting, before calling it starvation and then give firm opinions. WF is sparing the electrolytes. Master cleanse is easier to tolerate for some, although it is too much work to do the lemonade, and at the end you are depleting your system from certain nutrients, especially electrolytes. I’d suggest the master cleanser lemonade diet instead. You get all the nutrients needed but none of the bulk which allows your body to focus on healthy healing. And healthy weight loss, which of course you’ll most likely regain because you are not dealing with your set point or any attendant emotional issues, which excess weight most always entails. You can stay on that for quite a long time with no adverse health effects like your body eating your heart muscles and such. I did it for 19 days the first time and 15 days the second. My take on this would be that there is a very definite role in the body for iodine. People can argue about iodine supplementation and about dosages till the cows come home, but there is absolutely no question that the body needs some iodine and that we get sick and probably die without it.
