Re: Iodine VS beneficial intestinal flora

My take on this would be that there is a very definite role in the body for iodine.

People can argue about Iodine supplementation and about dosages till the cows come home, but there is absolutely no question that the body needs some Iodine and that we get sick and probably die without it.

I don't think that can be said about Colloidal Silver or silver in any form. It's a heavy metal and arguably toxic.

Colloidal Silver is an interesting development and has its uses as an antibiotic. Whether it really has a role as a supplement is much more problematic.

I've used Colloidal Silver occasionally for infections, and would do so again. I have even briefly supplemented with it, but I stopped, and probably won't restart. I don't have the same reservations about iodine, even though precautions are needed with the latter (companion nutrients, etc).
