Re: Know starvation and Autolysis
Well, it's easy to write a book and have an 'expert' opinion, I'm not terribly convinced by 'research' which is sooo terribly easy to falsify. I'm sticking with my experience--that being any time you go without food, it messes with your body.
My brother is proof enough for me. In ages past, I'm pretty sure they often had to go without food, and the body probably developed coping strategies.
I've tried juice fasts, but it ALWAYS led to weight gain, as my body prepared for the next famine. Yes, things learned how to survive famines, otherwise, as you say, there'd be no life.
Doesn't mean any one of them would do it on purpose or think that it was good for them. I'm hard pressed to believe mother nature intended we starve ourselves when we didn't have to. I'm sure our ancestors had plenty of
Water Fasts they considered themselves lucky to survive.
The Master Cleanser diet worked quite well in helping my body heal from the parasitic infestation that caused diabetes, and other than wanting something solid to chew on, I ended up healthier than before the cleanse--and it did do plenty of detoxing if the water flush you do every day was any indication---lots of yucky stuff.
Maybe you don't really know about
The Master Cleanser Lemonade Diet . It worked great for me. I know my body's every nuance. If it had harmed me, I would have known, even before finishing, and stopped.
I never felt ok even on juice fasts and the one or two days I just drank water even worse. To me, the proof is in the pudding. I felt good after
The Master Cleanser . Not good after any other fast type thingy I ever tried. Glad your body isn't so fussy, eh?
Maybe body types or something, but in all good conscious, I can't recommend starvation in the name of 'water' fasting. After 60 years, I've learned (sometimes the hard way) to trust my body--and it said don't starve me please.
I think it equally unfair to tell people starving themselves is somehow good for them, so I guess we'll have to call it a draw. :)
Thanks for your opinion!
