Hi Trish! I am doing fasts for joint issues too. I have a new fast coming up soon. How long did you fast, when the pains resolved? What would be your subjective estimate for benefit?
For example the last short fast I did (5 days) brought joint condition from about 5 on a scale of 10 (10 being the worst possible damage from trauma or overuse) to about 2, maybe one. As you noted, having to travel and needing to get whatever food is available got me quite back, there were foods that I had to avoid, but did not.
