Re: Reasons needed for avoiding gallbladder removal

has anyone had complications like me. i had my gallbladder removed and 4 days after the surgery was rushed back in for emergency surgery.i was overdosed on morphin by the hospital to try and stop the pain without success. my husband was told to watch the heart monitor because my heart rate was dropping and was left for an hour on his own to monitor me. when it was time for my surgery once again the doctor put a pen in my hand and the consent form infront of me and was told to sign it,even though i had a job to hold the pen and my husband and mother sat next to me and are my next of kin.
when i finally found out what had happened the surgion had not operated properly. i had a bile leak and had to have my insides flushed out and a drain put in for over a week. this should not have happened, as my doctor said, with the type of surgery i had.i now suffer from bouts of breathlessness and if i try eating anything fatty after a couple of mouthfulls it makes me gag. i also can not eat and drink some of the things i used to before surgery. i was told when i went for my pre-op assessment that it would not make any differance to my life having my gallbladder removed. i have found out the hard way.
