I've suffered for almost 3 years with chronic diarrhoea, occurring only after galbladder removal. I'm so happy to know I'm not alone and not crazy. Any person who hasn't experienced this has no idea how painful, frustrating, and completly embarassing these side effects can be. It's something you have be conscious of every time you eat. Why are doctors not more aware of this side effect of galbladder removal? I resently went on "The Atkins Diet", Dr. Robert C. Atkins low carbohydrate lifestyle approach to weight loss and good health. I've found within 2 days of limiting my carbohydrate intake to below 50 grams per day that I stoped having diarrhoea and abdominal cramps altogether. I'm not trying to promote the diet as a weight loss solution (draw your own conclusions), but I will stand by the fact that I have the same digestive problems of galbladder removal and have experienced great relief from this diet. I hope this helps someone. Please respond if it does help.
