Re: Reasons needed for avoiding gallbladder removal

Few reasons:

- surgery will not remove stones from liver (intrahepatic bile ducts), so it will not solve all the problems associated with intrahepatic stones

- you will loose one important organ

- there is a chance that you still suffer attacks, even after gallbladder was removed

- high chances of developing chronic diarrhoea after eating
(it is estimated that at least 15-20% of people without gallbladder endup with chronic diarrhoea or with IBS (Irritable bowel syndrome))

- Higher chances of getting colon cancer

- Higher chances of developing heart related illness (liver feeds heart)

- higher chances of developing cholesterol problems

- higher chances of developing other chronic illness that are associated with poor liver function like (FMS, CFS, Cancer, Allergies, Depression, MS, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, ...)

- Death (every surgery carries a risk - sometimes people die)

I have been collecting those stories for the last 3 years. It is possible that some of the web pages that I saved, are not available any more online. Because of that, I will copy each and every story here in this forum ... there are many reasons ... but don't expect your doc to tell you about them ...
