Re: What My Doctor Didn't Want Me To Know About Gallbladder Surgery

i had my gallbladder removed 5 weeks ago. i'm having severe pain in my lower right quadrant of my abdomen. I went to the doctor last week and he basically shrugged his shoulders and said he didn't know why. he mentioned it could be a trocar injury. I'm now having to take more time off work to go for a nerve block. If anyone else has had this problem, please let me know if you've had a nerve block and what to expect. I'm not really in favor of this as I'm afraid it will leave numbness and will wear off at some point and bring back the pain. I also think my doctor thought I was lying, because he wouldn't give me anything for pain. Why do they expect people to just "Live with it" when there's stuff taht will help you get through the day?
