I had my gallbladder removed around the 27th of May 2003, not sure of the exact date because I was initially in a great amount of pain and then morphined up. Anyway, I use the bathroom 4 or more times a day, sometimes even when I haven't eaten, always diarrea and cramping. I am SICK of this. I also am having pain just below my ribcage next to the incision (just to my right side of it) where the gallbladder was removed. Mostly when I go to get up from a sitting position or to lay down; anytime I use my ab muscles. I know they used "clips" in there somewhere and was wondering if maybe one was "caugth" on something it shouldn't be. I also appear to have a white cotton "string" protruding just thru the bottom right incision where a rod was placed during surgery I guess. What is up with that?!! I thought it was dry skin, and tried to remove it, but even with tweezers, it causes no pain at the sight when I pull on it. It just pulls on my skin and is clearly not attached to "me", but thru my side. I thought it would "go away", but it's still there and now I am concerned it could be a route for infection. I called my doctor's office today and I will hopefully find out what is going on with me very soon. Will let you know when I do find out. Has anyone had any of this happen to them? (Besides the diarrea of course. I know we all have that! What a pain!)
