worried that i may have been misdiagnosed

I just had my gallbladder removed a week ago. I was told that everything went well during my surgery and I was sent home the same day. After 3 days I was feeling well enough to return to my normal activities. To much surprise, I woke up this morning to pains very similar to the ones that my doctors had called gallbladder attacks. I went to the ER and they did x-rays and bloodtests and told me that everything was fine. I was told that I was just still sore from my surgery. They said this is normal, but it doesn't seem normal. I mean, I was feeling better and all of a sudden I was in pain again. And if the pain feels exactly like the pain I had before my gallbladder surgery, it seems as though my original pain wasn't from my gallbladder at all. I know that with any surgery, it takes time for your body to heal. But I believe that these doctors are just making assumptions. I have had laproscopic surgery before and there was discomfort and soreness, but never "severe pain" like I have been in today. I'm really worried that by passing my pain off as pre-op soreness, that another problem is being overlooked. Is it really normal to have the exact same pain even after your gallbladder is removed? These pains are in my right side, just below my ribs and it extends into my back and they are very sharp. If anyone can answer any of these questions for me, I would be so grateful. I have four small children and I can't go on in pain when they need me. That was my only reason for having the surgery in the first place. Thank you so much and God Bless. Nicole
