Re: It's true--you've tried your best with the 'elites' methods.
You disappoint me. I was hoping you might actually take an interest and read it. There's no way I could possibly preach to the choir where you're concerned. I know for a fact you will disagree with at least some of it. Oh well, your loss. But in any case, one way or another, it will be posted eventually.
The 'Bible thumping', as you call it, is simply a device for saving time & space when answering your challenges, questions, etc. The alternative is to quote it in full, then draw out the points that I'm making from the text. My posts are already too long. I really don't wanna make 'em longer than absolutely necessary. I am a 'guest' on your thread after all. At least for now.
I may have 'misunderstood', but for what it's worth I can assure you it's never deliberate. I always do my best to fairly represent my opponent's views. There's nothing to be gained otherwise. Again, our exchanges are on record, so any readers can judge for themselves and reach their own conclusions.
BTW, I don't view my comments as 'attacks', as you've referred to them on several occasions. I prefer the words debating, debunking, refuting, challenging, questioning, etc etc. All perfectly legit. devices in any disagreement over religious or spiritual matters. Your language attributes to me motives that I simply don't recognize.
So let me make this really easy for you. My one over-riding aim in my ripostes to you is simply to expose error, falsehood, lies, etc., whatever their source. Nothing more, nothing less. Since those terms also describe what you believe about my faith, there isn't a cat in hell's chance we're ever gonna agree, right?
Under those circumstances, neither of us are gonna come up smelling of roses, & I can easily see these exchanges simply descending into another slanging match eventually. So I put it to you again. Would you not prefer to simply agree to differ?
