Re: Religion is a means to Liberty
Well, you sound a bit softer - I appreciate that. And I am glad you do take other family members' views into consideration, because whether you realize it or not, you come off as a major tyrant.
Men and women are not the same - true. And thus each can bring their own perspectives into a decision-making situation.
Men were meant to make the final decision - debatable. There are many well-run countries being run by females.
Women are happiest when men make the final decisions - how do you know that women are "happy" about that? Your own fiance may be, but that does not mean all women agree with that.
In my house, if my husband and I do not agree on something, we discuss it. Often we compromise. Sometimes, I will come to realize that his view are the better way, and we should go with them. Other times, he will come to realize that my views are the better way, and we should go with them. SOmetimes we take the best of his and the best of mine and go with that. Works marvelously. I guess my question is, if your fiance has a different view than you do, is there ever a time where you re-think it and go with hers? You can then say that your "final say" was to go with her idea, if you really need to be the ultimate authority.
