Celcius, with all due respect, freethinking is fine and good and encouraged. But, as this is a debate forum, yes, descenting opinions will also be expressed. One does not have to agree with you to respect your right to post your opinions. This is a pretty volatile topic. I cannot imagine that if the shoe were on the other foot, and a poster came on screaming that all men are scum and stupid and just go whoring around (which, btw, men in general are by nature much more promiscuous than women - it is drilled into them from birth to "sow their oats") that there would not be a big hue and cry from the men. And there should be! That would be just as unfair as this is. Anytime there is a blanket statement against any group, I get annoyed. Several months back, there was a guy here who claimed it was the jews that were the cause of all the world's ills. And often on this forum, Muslims are decried as causing the world's ills. Others will say it is all the fault of blacks. And on and on and on and on. Anytime a group gets lumped together and blamed it is simply scapegoating, a lashing out due to one's own feeling of powerlessness, pure and simple, and it pisses me off. Tweet
