for use as an expectorant:

adult dosage - 300 to 600 MILLIGRAMS every 6 to 8 hours. thats a couple of grams a day. no biggie. works great.

pediatric dosage for the same thing - 60 to 250 MILLIGRAMS by mouth every six hours.

so big pharma suggests a gram a day for children as an expectorant.

i dont think its big pharma shills youre hearing. i think think its pure fear.
