Re: Depressed, wishing Iíd never taken iodine

Susie, when you take huge amounts of Iodine out of nowhere, the body adjusts its metabolic processes and adapts to a newfound sufficiency in the environment.

When you all the sudden stop taking it, the body won't adapt to the complete lack of Iodine right away, and continues utilizing as much of it as possible, more than you can afford losing, essentially, and if this lack of Iodine persists then the body needs to readjust the rate of metabolism which can offset everything in your body, which is what I am certain is what happened to Chewy, because it has happened to me.

Regarding Iodine in the environment -- it completely depends on your diet, and it's been established that Iodine deficiency is far more rampant in first world countries than initially thought.
