Re: Depressed, wishing I’d never taken iodine

The detox started in february so 10 months so far, the first 3 months were absolutely horrific, I thought I was going to die. I trained as a naturopathic practitioner and I am now in contact with the lady who ran the college who is a well known and skilled UK naturopath and she is advising me, as my training was over 10 years ago and many things have changed now. Yes, I do take everything needed, but it is definitely toxins coming out rather than a deficiency of anything. For instance, today my urine smells of perfume - for years I stupidly drowned myself in the stuff and this has decided to come out now, bit scary really as I stopped using it 10 years ago or more. Still, tells me it must be getting deeper. I should add the college was/is very pro Iodine in the region of 12.5 - 50mg but she has advised me under the circumstances not to increase it from 1mg until things have calmed down as my lymphatics could not cope with it. The college focused very much on the skill of managing detoxes with techniques and cellular hydration, and ensuring ones system is not overloaded to avoid bad detox symptoms and causing any harm.
