But, the ovaries also produce T4, which means your statement that "she does not create thyroid hormone anymore" is not accurate if based solely upon thyroid gland function, unless you also can show that the ovarian function is turned off. These health issues are usually more complex than what first meets the eye, and for that reason I suggest that what most people believe when attempting to make diagnoses of others' conditions, is wrong.
