They can get physically damaged (from tumor/certain infections) and not able to perform any longer like if a runner broke their leg in a race, but I wouldn't consider that the runner "bonked" if they broke their leg.

As I say I'm open to "AF", but the overwhelming amount of evidence points to it not being real. I think the medical community would be able to determine if adrenals can gas out like the pancreas can. There's no reason why the AMA and big pharma wouldn't want there to be another disease where they can see patients for and sell them their drugs. Just like with "chronic candida".
