I was also referring to replacement hormones along with the glandulars and herbs. If the adrenals were "gassing out", wouldn't someone need to be taking cortisol? Seems like most here who tried some kind of cortisol med or supp felt too stimulated and hyper on it which tells me there adrenals are making enough cortisol.

There could also be some people here with first or secondary adrenal insufficiency. I also wonder if the mega Vit C dosing also acts like a stimulant. It seems to only work for a little while in the people who get relief from it. Also want to mention that under-eating will throw off all your hormones.

One of the problems I fear with these alternative protocols is most of it is just people having to guess and assume it's working. Take for instance the NB protocol. People do the hair analysis, it supposedly shows metal toxicity, people buy the supplements and do the diet, they start feeling better, they assume it must have been the metals and that NB is accurate. Even though there's been a number of people who got better from doing the NB protocol, it still seems to have a rather low rate of success from all who were trying the protocol and of the one's who got improvement from it, are they able to get off all the supps and other protocols? Quite a few who improved were vegan when sick and now are eating a diet that's much more calorie-dense. How much of their improvement is from simply getting more calories while also being more sedentary from being sick and not burning as many calories?

My point is I hope these people are really getting better and not just bandaiding themselves, otherwise they are having a false sense of wellness. Nothing wrong with continuing to have to take medicines if it improves their quality of life, but I think we all agree we'd rather see people truly get better so they don't need to take any medicines.
