I am beginning to think that you really are convinced that, it is not just POSSIBLE to love paper and ink (Jeremiah 31:33 "...I will put my law WITHIN them, and I will write it upon their hearts..."), but that you also believe that it is what The Lord wants us to do (not that it's possible).

The traditional teachings make us believe that it is possible to love a book (do you also love magazines, newspapers, dictionaries, etc.?).

Maybe you just find it easier to model your devotion to God on a "do it by the book" basis with easy to follow instructions and simple formulas. The bible is not an instruction book on how to be Godly, or a step by step manual on "how to" be Godly (The Lord doesn't give us the information of how to be Godly on a silver platter, He lets the people that have a CONSCIENTIOUS SPIRIT figure out that they have the option of allowing HIS spirit into their heart). That's why THE bible doesn't indwell in me, God does.

Since I am not competitive, it's no surprise that I didn't express myself sufficiently to you. If someone REPEATEDLY attacks me UNJUSTLY, VERBALLY, they will get more mercy from God than they will get from me, until then, I will be merciful and gentle even to a fault (wrong me once, shame on you, wrong me twice, shame on me...even still, by bad judgement, I have accepted much shame, and had to learn over and over that it never does any one any GOOD).


The world thinks of the bible as a map that will get us to heaven, but it's simply a road sign that points the way. What will get us to heaven is the JOURNEY with God's spirit. I do not offer my heart to TEXT. I thank God that He did leave ancient scripture to reveal Himself to me and my fellow human being in order to reveal His truth to us, but I filled my heart with Him alone, and there is no room for the book.

God also lets us know what He hates (He hates divorce), and IF we want to please Him, it SHOULD matter to us what He hates, yet, He allowed Moses to give certificates of divorce because,...WE'RE JUST HUMAN and hard-headed (kind of like what we should do, FORGET ABOUT IT and get on with life). In the grand scheme of things, hating something really doesn't mean anything to reality.
