Re: stone dissolvers helped me!!
Dear Nglassman,
Congratulations on successfully improving your health! Sometimes it seems we are groping in the dark for the answers to our issues, but I have become convinced that when we are able, the answers find us. Good job for your patience and determination!
I must agree with Patricia and others that fear is often a big part of the obstacles we face in remaining on raw food. I know personally the social pariah factor is difficult, yet many non-raw adherents find it fascinating and interesting, though some worry that it is actually HARMFUL to eat a natural foods diet. It seems only logical that we being the only cooked foods creature devised this way of eating for a specific purpose, though we may never discover the reason.
Balance in all things is essential, though I believe we can go much further than we think we can. (ie: fasting and food selection) Our taste improves, and very often our instinct or desire tells us what to eat next. (just today I tried some wild "weed" chickweed in my garden and it was delicious!!) The American view of nutrition in general is a far distance from natural eating, though there is awareness growing, which is so exciting!
Above all, I find giving myself a break, compassion and understanding....treating myself as a good friend, and yes, being thankful for all things...these are above all food issues of course!
