I know the salt treatment is working for others
Hi. I just wanted to say thanks for that great advice concerning treatment for SD. Like you, I've been dealing with this crap for many years (25+). I noticed a few years ago that when I went to the beach the SD cleared up. This made me investigate the salt
Water Cure . Well, it didn't work. I investigated further and found others were using photo therapy. My primary care physician said this isn't healthy either. The last few years I've just managed with Ketoconazole. However, about two months ago, for the first time, it flared up during the summer. It flared up big time. I noticed the temperature for two days was cold when the flare up occurred. This made me realize my suspicions were correct as far as a trigger goes, with me, it is temperature related. And that is half the battle. I stuck my face in the sun and bought another brand of
Sea Salt . This time I bought a 100 percent natural
Sea Salt brand. Along with sunning, I soaked my face for several days, cut out tea, ate plenty of veggies, drank lots of "real water", and everything cleared up. I was so happy to see your article because I was unclear if it was the sun, Ketoconazole, salt or all of the above clearing my face up. I'm sure the sun helps but now I know the salt treatment is working for others. I also heard apple cider vinegar and garlic works. And Aveeno for babies is the best moisturizer for me. Good luck to others and remember, if all else fails, take a trip to the ocean. Clean air, salt water and sun works everytime.
