Yes, you are correct: Ascorbic acid is much more acidic than meat [and virtually any other food you could put into your mouth]! However, the metabolic residues of many foods [like meat and grains] are quite acidic. The only "scientific" explanation I can offer [for that seeming contradiction] is that a weak acid, e.g. the fruit acids [ascorbic, citric, and malic, etc.], does NOT require an alkaline mineral in order to expel it from the body, i.e. thereby not increasing ones overall acidity, whereas a strong acid, e.g. lactic, uric, sulphuric, and phosphoric, etc., DOES [require some of our body's alkaline buffer to excrete it/them, and therefore DOES increase the overall acidity of the body]. I can assure you, Lorica, I was (overly) concerned about this very [seeming] contradiction for MANY years!
Lorica, please remember these two quotes: "The clinical symptoms of...diseases and other conditions...are markedly ameliorated ONLY as bowel tolerance dose levels (the amount that almost, but not quite, causes diarrhea) are approached." -- Dr. Robert Cathcart, M.D.; and "...the three most important considerations in effective vitamin C therapy are "dose, dose, and dose." If you don't take enough, you won't get the desired effects. Period!...you will rarely ever fail to observe a dramatic response...IF you take a large enough dose for a long enough time..." -- Dr. Thomas Levy, M.D. Additionally, Bowel Tolerance is the ONLY way I know of [short of a blood test] to know you are ingesting ENOUGH.
Please let me know if you notice any particularly positive results from the liposomal ascorbate. I experimented with it a little [from Livon Labs], a few years back, but didn't notice any particular "extra" benefits from it. And at 30 to [over] 100 times the price [per gram], I was not interested in that at all!

Electrons, electrons, electrons! As the free radicals of the disease are overcome, one's Bowel Tolerance would start to go down, i.e. from the 500 grams per day level. Remember, he is talking about very deadly diseases that modern medicine has NO effective treatment for [and even if they did, the cost to a person in rural Africa would typically be WAY outside of their budget (to say the least)]. The size of the dose, Lorica, is not the important factor here, however, but whether [or not] the dose is at the Bowel Tolerance level.
If you can afford it, I think your "15 packets at one time" experiment is a good one. Remember, from what I read, you will get no bowel reaction from this whatsoever, so you do not have to "fear" that.
Yes, from my view, the Bowel Tolerance method of dosage determination is a WONDERFUL thing, in that it allows one to self-dose without the need of/for any outside "expertise," e.g. blood tests, etc. It simply works, Lorica. Just let your BODY tell you how much it needs/wants!
It is the electrons we are after, and if you can get as many or more of them into your tissues via liposomal ascorbate [vs. ascorbic acid], so much the better.
