Re Re A whole lemon working better than ascorbic etc. C,

You are right I did mean grams and will edit that post accordingly.

You are also right that lemon, though acidic outside the body, causes the body to be alkaline when taken into the body. This is not true for ascorbic C however.

First there is Dr. Pauling who took alalilzers with ascorbic C and he did a lot of lab tests, to say the least, so had to know that was needful.

2nd, I have done my own experimentation as anyone can do, using ph strip testing of urine around the clock for days. I ate pretty much the same things each day. Sure enough, if I had ascorbate C, I would get acidic readings, and the more ascorbate C I had, the more acidic they were.

Interestingly, Alive! C, which is made from natural fruits, gave even more acidic ratings than ascorbate C, though they claim they are less acidic.

I don't like taking ascorbate C because it is made from corn, plus corn is almost always GMO, but it really does the job for making one healthier, sometimes when nothing else will work, as long as I take it with lemom juice.
Things like Watermelon and other alkalizing foods also help, of course.

I know there is a big debate about whether urine ph reflects blood ph. All I know is that when I am acidic I definitely lose energy. When I am at the optimal level of alkalinity - about 7.2 to 7.5 I feel the best.
