A (whole) lemon working better than ascorbic etc. C,
Just as Dr. Lam and others have reported, I have found that nothing works to beat adrenal fatigue like Vitamin C, either ascorbic acid or sodium ascorbate. I have used both as the first is too acidic, but being too alkaline, as can happen with sodium ascorbate, is associated some say with lymphatic problems and leukemia..
However, I had discovered in the past that, say with a cold, no processed vitamin C compared to real citrus fruit in helping me. Further, most Vitamin C is made from
GMO products like corn. (Almost all corn, and soy, are made from GMOs.)
I learned that the peel of the lemon actually has far more nutrients in it than the pulp so started cutting up a whole lemon and tossing it into a smoothie each morning. Boy do I feel more energetic if I do that! Much more energetic than when I was mega dosing several times a day on thousands of mg of the C powders. I notice that in the mornings after the whole lemon that I need less sleep, wake up more refreshed and earlier.
The extra energy has helped with my hypothyroid problem too, as the adrenals and thyroid work together and need to support one another.
I hasten to add that I am eating no junk food and all organic, no caffeine, no added in sugar, etc. If one doesn't give up the no nos I don't know if the marked improvement from a whole lemon would be noticed or not.
Where I live and shop organic lemons are not always available but if that's true for you too, you can buy extra and freeze them for when you need them.
I use lemons instead of oranges and grapefruit as those latter two can be associated with
Arthritis symptoms. Further lemons have a kind of electrical charge that is unique to them in all the world, and is helpful to our bodies.
And btw, if you haven't heard yet, Dr. Mercola's so called liposomal C...has no liposomes! If you call them or email them they will admit this and then tell you something like "Well, just add water...." What a cruel joke to people who are really sick and put hope in that fake product.
