Re: I am eating myself sick, and I want to stop!
Hi bling,
I think you are absolutely right: a well balanced diet has for the most part been the recommended one, but what exactly is a well balanced and varied diet?
Just to add to your comment "everything (healthy) in moderation" might be a little more advisable though.
Paul Bragg advised eating from Natures Bounty........fruit, vegetables, nuts & seeds, wholegrains, and legumes. He was not an advocate of meat-eating, but his body was so in tune with Nature from years of following a vegetarian regimen and fasting, that it would actually tell him which foods to eat, and this would sometimes include meat.
I think the important point here for everyone, is that although we fast for a variety of reasons, the benefits of the fast can be easily undone by not living in accord to what are our basic biological needs.............in other words, a diet as close to its natural state as possible, avoiding any foods that have been processed or adulterated by the food manufacturers, which
Shelton referred to as "disease-causing foods". Eating the former mentioned foods in accord to appetite, will produce a very good state of health.
If this includes free-range organic eggs, organic white-meats, including fish, then that is absolutely fine. Jesus of Nazareth ate fish, and what is good for the goose is.............
It is not the role of anyone here on the forum to push everyone down the raw food route, only to explain its benefits, and then freedom of choice kicks-in: Natural Hygienists believe in an 80% raw & 20% cooked food diet anyway.
