Re: I am eating myself sick, and I want to stop!
I mentioned a study I saw. Then I told my personal experience. I didn't mean to make sweeping statements. What do you feel I am misinformed about? Are you referring to my post a while back about meat? I totally shouldn't have posted that here, that was my bad. I understand that I made very radical statements, and to try and have any kind of debate with such opposing viewpoints is often counterproductive. However trust me, I have researched plenty to come to my conclusions.
Look how many books and proponents there are on juicing. It's just getting rid of the fiber in food which makes things much easier to digest... according to many juice fasting advocates! Why is it so far fetched to say that maybe if I regularly avoid overloading on fiber I will experience easier digestion. The book, "fiber menace" was a really interesting read and changed my perspective and directed me towards conclusions, which now seem like common sense, that happen go against conventional medical advice (which doesn't have a good track record in my book). I think fiber has it's place, I'm just saying that when we go on a raw food diet and consume mass amounts of it, people can experience a lot of discomfort. Isn't that common knowledge? Does anyone really feel great after eating too many avocados, nuts or bananas. And after fasting you get really hungry so you have to eat something... I just wonder if those items are really the best choice.
