Re: I am eating myself sick, and I want to stop!
xanderfrancish,
i'm sorry if you feel harsh vibes from me, but i feel confrontational vibes from you. it started when you mortally offended me on the subject of me raising my daughter vegan. i had not asked for your advice on the subject, but you basically assumed that i'd done no research whatsoever, and furthermore stated that i may actually be harming my daughter by depriving her of meat.
i appreciate that you have basically decided not to talk about the meat thing anymore, and that you admit it was wrong, but in terms of your advice about fibre, that doesn't fall under the category of "stuff you said a really long time ago that you shouldn't have posted" because you were basically saying the exact same thing to Sky today!
juice fasting is good for many different reasons, but NOT because the fibre has been removed. if fibre was intrinsically bad for us, then God, or whoever created the world would have made fruit and vegetables fibre-free!
the times when fibre is "wrong" is if you improperly combine foods. then of course you are going to get those very uncomfortable symptoms of heaviness, gas, bloating, etc.
i see no problem with remaining quiet when I see that someone has a different view point. (CASE IN POINT: you might have noticed that i did not comment on your post to me about how your eczema just cleared up on its own one day, and that maybe my problem has something to do with negative thinking, or the fact that maybe i'm concentrating on illness instead of health... i didn't agree with you, but i didn't want to make a big deal since it was just between you and me). BUT i just cannot sit idly by when you give advice that is just plain wrong! i mean, i didn't want anybody to get scared away from eating fibre.
i agree with you that this is a place for people to come together and share info and support each other, and maybe you have really helped a lot of other people, and if so, that is terrific and i congratulate you. but in my experience with your "advice" and "support" to me, i don't particularly find you "coming across as nicely as possible"... you tend to play devil's advocate with me, and you make assumptions that i haven't done much research about my own situation.
anyway, i hope we can get along better in the future.
