chris' response to xanderfrancish about his misleading advice
this comes from the following thread:

xanderfrancish,
very confusing post, but from what I make of it, food combining is really very simple and not the arduous & stressful task that you think it is. It has been practiced by Natural Hygienists for decades, and rediscovered by Dr William Howard Hay MD.
Fiber is just not a hindrance with digestion: all natural foods contain fiber in the right proportion as provided by Mother Nature, so it is not possible to "overdo" its consumption.
Further, bananas are not recommended to eat when in the unripe and starchy form as they are indigestible; fruits are supposed to be eaten when they are "ripe" which actually means "ready to be eaten". The sugars within fruits and vegetables are "natural" sugars and are part of the carbohydrate classification of foods which are really essential for good health.
Your comment that nuts do not "jive" well with fruit, is true, except with acid fruits where they combine extremely well.
It is recommended that you eat a variety of natural raw foods in the correct combinations, and not overload on just one type, which will then provide all of the essential elements of nutrition for your good health.
I would also advise you to investigate proper-food-combining more thoroughly before making comments that may mislead and misinform other members as to its true worth.
Regards
