Re: Fatty Liver disease & Toxic Hunger

When you say "If I can tolerate it," do you mean you might feel hypoglycemic? That's what I used to feel, but it wasn't low blood sugar, it was Toxic Hunger symptoms.

I strongly recommend getting a home glucose meter to monitor your blood Sugar when you do this smoothie or juice fast, because if you have Toxic Hunger, it will feel like you have low blood sugar, but you really don't and the glucose meter will confirm that. If you don't monitor your blood Sugar and start feeling bad during the smoothie fast, you might assume it's low blood Sugar and stop your smoothie fast before it has time to heal your Toxic Hunger symptoms.

You can get the Target brand glucose meter with test strips for about $25.

Read over my Toxic Hunger thread again and I read back over some of Dr. Fuhrman's book and he says reactive hypoglycemia is also a symptom of Toxic Hunger, but that your sugar usually don't go dangerously low below 50.
