Before you rush out and buy a juicer, you might want to look into making homemade green smoothies if you have a blender. I've been doing this for that last week and it's much easier to make and cleanup and they taste great! You just blend leafy greens and fruit with a little water, that's it. No root or starchy vegetables, just rotate your greens that you use though. You can do it with an inexpensive blender.

Now this seems like it would be a lot of
Sugar with blending all that fruit, but unlike juicing, you don't extract all the pulp fiber and the leafy greens will too help curb any
Sugar spikes. You also can control how much fruit you blend with the greens. My
Sugar has never gone out of range from drinking these green smoothies.
Otherwise if you feel more comfortable juicing, I just juiced about half root and other high-water veggies (carrots, beets, celery, cucumber) and half leafy greens (kale, collards, etc) with one squeezed lemon to kill the taste. =P
I recommend getting a home glucose meter to monitor your blood sugar which after juice fast you choose. This really helped reduce the anxiety of undertaking a juice fast with the condition I had. See my thread about ways to test your sugar at home:
