Not so elementary in my opinion. There are different versions of the liver flush. The standard Clark flush coopted by Moritz is low fat the day of the flush. Save your bile also does not make sense, as someone recently pointed to a study that epsom salt is a bile stimulant. So why would you take a bile stimulant before drinking oil. Dr. Kelly on the other hand suggested high fat (ice cream, peanut butter, whipped cream, etc) right before the flush to prime the pump. I tried all the different flush methods. Forget Candida, it’s not the source of your problems. LBP is a problem and taking some circulatory stimulants would be beneficial but might not rectify the problem. LBP will affect your circulatory system and your kidneys. Milkthistle can be helpful, it does help me but anything Yin can make things much worse. If you have liver/gallbladder congestion, and no other maladies, then it will most likely work in clearing your acne. you have to find out what else is wrong with you. most likely, you have some degree of heavy metal toxicity, and/or gut dysbiosis. In my own case I think that drinking coffee during a kidney cleanse may have been the cause of injury. The fatty liver slows down the flow of bile so much that you can’t flush the gallbladder of stones. The disease is called Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD). Don’t despair. It is not at all uncommon for chronic conditions to worsen. Andreas Moritz in his book on liver flushing said as much, and even used the example of a young woman who had facial rashes which worsened and did not significantly improve until six months into flushing. The reason it is not a good idea to flush too soon is because it takes at least a couple of weeks for your liver and gall bladder to recover. Perhaps the fasting was the trigger for the acne and not the sunscreen - as fasting will release toxins and if they cannot be eliminated fast enough through the liver and bowels the skin will show conditions as it’s the largest elimination organ of the body.
