Re: Circumcision is good

Oy Vey!!!

Christian female here.

Responding to:

"Ironic
How I find, that the Holy sinless Virgin Mother of Jesus, had her son circumsized.
And then ones who follow christ are against it? Should we not follow him? He was a Jew? He was born from the tribe of Judea? I didnt think so, he was sent to the Children of Israel, but not strictly Jewish, yet followed the Law sent by Moses ( which was Gods Law)."

Yeeeeessss..... Jesu was a Jew and followed the Jewish law. That is what Jews did at the time. God instituted circumcision as a visible sign for the men of Israel to show they had been set apart from other nations...they were the chosen people.

Once Christ rose from the dead the old covenant was null and void and the covenant of grace came in. This was/is offered to all...both Jews and Gentiles. There is an interesting discussion in the New Testament regarding whether the Gentiles needed o be circumcized or not...right along with the question of whether they need to follow the dietary laws etal.

Go have a look....you may be surprised.

On a personal level I find an uncircumcized man (specifically my husband) to be much sexier than a cut one. Both my boys are whole and will stay that way thank goodness.

My dad had a problem with my leaving them intact. He had to undergo circumcision when he entered the military and it was a pain that he said he would never forget.
Reason enough not to do it.
