I can understand that bad is in all humans just by nature. Jesus did say more than once that the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. I marvel at the early church. Paul was in prison 3 yrs for doing what he was doing! And all that time he was writing to those who were newer in the belief, the Way. How many persons of this day and age have that type of faith!!
