Re: GOD versus religion - my 2c worth

Many people miss the fact that Jesus came to take all sin from us. It's not our burden anymore. Instead we have the option of forgivness, if we choose to seek it. In religion both original sin and Jesus taking sin from us i taught, unfortunately not many see the irony of trying to follow both. Either you believe Jesus died to save us from sin, or he didn't. It's that simple. I believe that he died for all mankind. I believe that he took on what we are not strong enough to bear. And he did it in a way that all furture generations can understand. Not to mention the people of that time.

I choose to stay with religion for the simple fact that I am on this earth to help others. I have the belief of a truely wonderful loving God, which I am beginning to see isn't taught to children often. I want to be there to help guide others to his all encompassing love. Too many are lost in the ocean of "lipservice" that is taught to us as "decent" worship. I believe that those of us who see and feel God's love need to be there for those that are still searching. I can do more good in religion than out of it. But that is quite simply my own path. I said to my Lord that I would walk the path in front of me, and that is what I am doing.
