The remedy from the "Angular Chelitis Foundation" actually worked for me.

I had the crack at the corner of my mouth for 3 months. The skin all around it was red and would sometimes flake dry skin. I was desperate. After reading all the review of this solution I decided I should try it. I bought the Palmolve soap and I bought Vaseline Lip Therapy (cocoa butter).

I followed the directions (except, I don't think all those steps of disinfecting EVERYTHING is necessary. Nor is it necessary to have the separate bowls of water. But what do I know, maybe I'm ignorant) and my sore did not look any better after I waited the 2 hours with vaseline all over my face. I was feeling discouraged. It didn't look better the next day or the day after that. I thought I did something wrong. Then a scab started to form so I took that as a sign that it was healing and I made sure I didn't pick the scab. I left it alone and put hydrocortisone on the scab and it went away within 2 days. The sore completely healed but I still had the dry flakey skin for several more days. Did anyone else have dry flakey skin? What's up with that? Tweet
