Re: I Need Help With Angular Cheilitis
To Oneworld,
I don't have angular cheilitis at all, I have exfoliative cheilitis (the rest of my lower lip, everything but the corners, is freaking out),
but I'm new to this forum and I've been trying to get a handle on the many topics posted here, and tonight I have come across this angular cheilitis monster thread.
Just a thought - you guys (angular cheilitis sufferers) should have your own curezone forum, instead of trying to talk within this one thread - there might be more traffic and discussion for you that way. From what I have noticed on the internet, angular cheilitis/cheilosis/stomatitis seems to be more common than the exfoliative kind, anyway. ...Common enough to provide sales for an expensive ebook! ;-)
The reason I am responding to you specifically is that you asked whether anyone had ever heard if cheilosis is contagious, and tonight I came across a source that says it is. I was surprised, because I've researched this extensively over the past week, and this source is the first one I found that said that cheilosis is contagious. It says:
"While you have cheilosis, you should not kiss other people or allow other people to drink from the same glass or use the same eating utensils. Cheilosis can be contagious."
It is form the livestrong.com website, which I think has something to do with the cyclist Lance Armstrong, but I'm not sure.

Also, many of you guys seem to be following the dish soap cure method for angular cheilosis, and I would urge you to read my new discussion threads on this forum from the last week which are about the dish soap ingredient "triclosan" -- just so that you have full information about what you are putting on/in your body.
Good luck, take care.
