I tried this method and it didn't really do much but dry out my face and irritate the infection. I went to a walk in clinic, paid $55 for the visit, and the doctor took about 1 minute to diagnose my problem. He said it was angular chelosis, and prescriped a nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide ointment that was to be applied 2 to 3 times a day. Within one day, I had tremendous improvement. In fact, I even felt relief and improvement after one application! He told me my condition was caused by access moisture around my lips, probably while I was sleeping. This stuff worked amazingly and my cuts were healed within 2 days, and all redness and everything gone within a week. If you are suffering from these symptoms, I highly recommend the prescription ointment. It is basically a anti-fungal ointment, along with some type of steroid. Good luck all!
