Re: I Need Help With Angular Cheilitis

Many thanks to BohemiaTom for sharing the solution to such a nasty problem and to all who shared their experiences – this blog really helped me so much. Here is how it worked for me.

I’ve suffered from AC for about a week before I found this blog and by that time the right corner of my mouth had become quite red, swollen, with several cuts covered with crusts and it hurt constantly (not only when I opened my mouth). After applying the steps just once in the evening, on the next morning the pain was gone together with the much of the swelling and the redness. I’ve been doing this for 3 days now, 3 times a day after every meal and now all that is left is just a small crack visible only when my mouth is open O shaped. I’ll continue to do everything until it disappears too.

I did the following steps:
(1) Washed my teeth. On the first evening I used my latest toothpaste but after reading this blog, on the next day I bought organic toothpaste and was quite surprised to find that it cleaned teeth just as well but felt so mild.
(2) Disinfected my mouth with anti fungal herbal solution. I used 10 drops of grapefruit seed extract in a glass of water.
(3) I washed my lips with the “Frosch” dish washing liquid. I had “Palmolive” but it was a combined product - dish washing + balsam for softening the hands (creamy gel, not the usual transparent) and I thought the softening balsam might not allow the place to dry well and the key moment of this whole solution to work is the perfect dryness of the place after being cleaned.
(4) In the first evening I just couldn’t see how these deep cuts with peeling skin can be dried, so it may sound funny but I used a hairdryer pointed at my open mouth for about a minute.
(5) Then I applied the insulating Vaseline. The first time I didn’t have pure Vaseline so I used “Nivea” lip balm stick not as one usually applies lipstick but I chopped a small grain of it and filled the cracks just the way I later did with pure Vaseline. It worked quite well for me after this first evening but I wanted to follow the steps closely so I bought pure Vaseline.

Also, two days I ate a meal of chicken livers stewed with white wine and olive oil for lunch since they are rich in both iron and vitamin B2. I don’t think it is essential step, however, but they were tasty :).

And that’s it. Thanks again and I hope all of you will get rid of this problem quickly and forever.
