Re: I Need Help With Angular Cheilitis
First, Thank you BohemianTodd for lighting a fire under this forum. The sharing of knowledge is a virtue and a probably progressing towards a cure is much better then a problem stagnant.
I have had angular chelitis for 3 months. started right after a 3 month trip to central america. Bacteria/Fungi THRIVE down there so prob picked it up on walkabout.
It would come quietly and I would use vitamin E and it would go away. recently it has come stronger and for longer leaving this infamous red marks that we all speak of. End of week one using 'the treament right not' has helped signifigantly. Cracking is gone for the most part but I still have the red marks. I assume they are involved at least right now with a continued presence of the bacteria under the surface. So I will continue to sufficate the little buggers and maybe without a surface outlet for oxygen they will slowly die as well. The creams etc... help, but it is the disinfecting to oxygen dep. that really seems to do the trick.
Question though. You mentioned that the cure website said it could not be spread through kissing? this seems unlikely doesnt it? Would like to hear exactly what they said if you dont mind, although it would be nice for this to be the case...
thanks again.
